(2) Lbs - Ground Beef
(1) 29oz can or (2) 15oz can - Tomato Sauce
(1) 29oz can or (2) 15oz can - Kidney Beans "with the liquid"
(1) 29oz can or (2) 15oz can - Pinto Beans "with liquid"
(1) cup "medium onion" - diced onions
(1/2) cup or 2 medium - diced green chilis
(1/4) cup or 1 stalk - diced celery
(3) medium - diced tomatoes
(2) tsp - cumin powder
(3) tbsp - chili powder
(1 or 1 1/2) tsp black pepper
(2) tsp - Table Salt
(2) cups - Water
Brown beef in a pan over medium heat - drain off the fat.
Using a fork, crumble the beef into pea-sized pieces
In lg pot, combine the beef and all remaining ingredients, bring to simmer on low heat.
Cook stirring every 15 minutes for 2 to 3 hours.
Servings: about 12
I sprinkle shredded cheese and sliced onions on the top of mine. I have added a dollop of sour cream at times also! Dress it up anyway you like it! Goes great with corn bread too :)
